Happy GOLDEN JUBILEE to Reverend Oluwafemi Ikusagba. I welcome you to the Quinqua-genarian group, it is a great grace, which only the Lord gives. Permit me to appreciate the Lord for the precious gift that you are to my family and me. You have been far more than a Pastor; you have been a brother, a counselor, a confidant, and a pillar of support through many seasons of life. Your genuine love, care, and unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of my children and family have left footprints that time cannot erase. As the scripture says, “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Proverbs 17:17). You are in truth and indeed, just a true reflection of this, standing with us in times of joy and challenges. My first meeting with you in life, was when you assumed duty as the Pastor-in-charge of the chapel of progress, while I was a serving Elder.

As we join you in celebrating FIFTY YEARS of the goodness of the Lord today, my prayer is that you will not diminish in strength, wisdom and understanding. The Lord will enlarge your coast, may He reward every seed of kindness, sacrifice, spiritual deposits you have made into countless lives. In Proverbs 11:25, the bible made us understand, that “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself”. May the blessings you have poured into others return to you in overflowing measures of peace, prosperity, health. Let me paraphrase your common saying, WHAT YOU MAKE HAPPEN TO OTHERS WILL HAPPEN UNTO YOU. May your life remain a shining testimony of God’s grace.

You have touched lives, and you still continue to. Your life has been greatly impactful. As you step into this new chapter, may you continue to walk in the fullness of His purpose, you will fulfill His promise as provided in Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. May your next FIFTY YEARS be crowned with greater success and fulfillment.
You are most likely going to find this revelation thrilling, Motunrayo, was christened in your Late father-in-laws living room, in the Customs barracks, Enugu, by my Reverend then, in ECWA Ogui road, chapel. Congratulations, happy GOLDEN JUBILEE, dear brother and man of God.
