Dr. Oluwafemi Ikusagba, and one thing that has remained constant is his unwavering love and fatherly care.<\/p>\n<p>Daddy did not just meet me; he chose me. Through the years, he has intentionally and tirelessly fathered me with genuine concern, wise counsel, prayers, and encouragement. Even now, that same love extends to my immediate family. He checks on us regularly, celebrates our victories, stands with us through challenges, and constantly reminds us that we are not alone.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that always touches my heart is how much he loves my daughter. Every time he sees her, he makes it a point to bless her with a gift. It is never about the gift itself but the thoughtfulness behind it. She knows she is loved by Grandpa, and as a parent, that means so much to me.<\/p>\n<p>Daddy\u2019s life has taught me that fatherhood is not merely a title; it is a commitment. He has consistently shown up, year after year, decade after decade, pouring himself into the lives of others without seeking recognition.<\/p>\n<p>At 50, I celebrate a man whose love is genuine, whose heart is large, and whose impact on my life and family cannot be quantified. We have stayed in close contact through the years, and we have had the joy of visiting each other\u2019s homes, both in the United States and in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Rev. Femi is a true servant of God who has devoted his life to the service of Christ and the proclamation of the Gospel. He is a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a faithful shepherd. Pastor Femi distinguished himself through his genuine love for people, his desire to understand their struggles, and his unwavering commitment to supporting them. His dedication to reaching every member, regardless of status or background, reflected the spirit of Paul&#8217;s words in 1 Corinthians 9:22\u201323.<\/p>\n<p>Having arrived in Lagos from my village in 2002 and becoming part of the large ECWA Mushin congregation, I spent several years feeling somewhat unnoticed. Although I had given my life to Christ the previous year, I still lacked meaningful involvement in church activities. In 2007, Pastor Femi&#8217;s discerning eye noticed what many had overlooked. A simple conversation about my level of involvement revealed my disconnect from church life. Rather than leaving me there, he intentionally guided me toward the Gospel Team and the Youth Fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>That singular act of care changed the course of my spiritual journey. Pastor Femi possesses a rare gift for identifying potential in people and helping them discover their place in God&#8217;s purpose.<\/p>\n<p>Words can hardly capture the depth of his impact. He exemplifies what it means to be a true pastor\u2014a shepherd who genuinely knows and cares for his flock, a faithful discipler, mentor, coach, and leader. Together with his beloved wife, whose warmth, humility, and love beautifully complement his ministry, they have become a formidable force for God&#8217;s kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>I remain profoundly grateful for the role you played in shaping my early Christian walk and helping me grow in faith. As you celebrate this remarkable Golden Jubilee, my prayer is that God will continue to strengthen you, preserve your passion for His work, and expand your influence for His glory.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders of your character, commitment, and compassion are truly rare.
